On Wednesday, July 8, 2026 we began the first of four days of fun and learning as children and teachers of our Sunday School gathered for prayer, classes, arts and crafts, singing and waterpark fun, all part of the Cathedral's Vacation Church School Program.  The days began with prayer followed by a presentation about the feast day celebrated that day, commemorating the saints of the day.  Fr. Nick also spent some time speaking with the children about prayer and worship and the participation of the children as taper bearers. 

After a snack the children went to their classes on the theme of the day taught by our Director of Education and VCS organizer Vaso Katanic with the help of parents, followed by a craft project.  The music class was held with Vaso Katanic who taught them the popular songs on the theme of the week:  "Let your light shine!" from the words of our Lord to his followers:  "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."  Matthew 5:16

The four days coincided with the traditional water park fun, including water slides, water balloon tosses and fun games which the children and adults all enjoyed, wrapping up a beautiful and fun week at this year's Vacation Church School!  Click on the Link below to see all lthe beautiful photographs.
