Saint Steven's Cathedral held the eleventh annual Festival of Learning on Sunday, May 21, 2023.  The festival of learning is a unique learning event where the parishioners visit the Sunday School class displays in an ‘open house’ setting in the pavilion and walk away with not only an understanding of what the children learned throughout the year, but also a greater knowledge themselves of the Orthodox Christian Faith as presented in word, art, and song: children and adults educated together in a joyful, festive atmosphere!  After the lunch prepared by our Women's Auxiliary, the families enjoyed games and fellowship in the Cathedral park.

Saint Steven's Festival of Learning is the biggest celebration of learning in the parish, showcasing the remarkable achievements of our children, youth and adults who have used learning to transform their lives, as they are formed in the Orthodox Christian Faith.  This Annual Festival of Learning raises the profile of learning, encourages the children, youth and adults to try something new, supports a lifelong learning culture and celebrates the joy of learning the Holy Orthodox Faith.  The 2023 festival included displays of Sunday School learning projects with an interactive discussion on the learning experience; our youth group video presentation focusing on "Being Truly Human" as created by God to be His Image and Likeness; as well as a performance of songs by our Cathedral Youth Singers and dance groups.  The opportunities for adult learning which was also a part of the festival include our Home Bible and Faith Study Groups, Women's Tea and Study, Men's Retreat and our Book Club.
